Since I didn't get around to handing in my last French homework, I thought I'd post it here:

Mon premier amour? Alors, c'était en été 2005. J'avais été célibataire depuis plusieurs années (10 ans, au moins). C'était comme ça: j'ai eu un petit ami quand j'étais au lycée, mais je n'étais pas amoureuse de lui.
Mais en 2005 je suis tombée amoureuse tout à coup. Il était vraiment prompt. Un jour j'ai cherché un texte sur l'Internet, et l'autre j'ai eu des papillons dans mon cœur. Mon petit ami est américain est l'an prochain, il va vivre avec moi, en Autriche.
Mon premier amour était parfait. Il est toujours.

Es ist doch ein leidiges Thema, oder? Dieser Frauentag! Andauernd wollen Frauen etwas; Aufmerksamkeit, Gleichstellung, Geschenke. Gleich drei Dinge auf einmal - ja, wo kommen wir denn da hin?

Nirgends, richtig? Also, warum belassen wir nicht einfach alles beim Alten. Beschweren wir uns doch über den dreisten Mangel eines Männer-Feiertags (so ein Pendant ist überflüssig). Es ist ja auch nicht so, dass der Ruf nach einer Ehrung des Mannes den Sinn und Zweck des Frauentages unterminiert.

Frauen haben doch von vornherein schon genug: sie dürfen die Kinder austragen (was sind die Männer da doch scharf drauf), sie dürfen oft halbtags arbeiten (wobei die Männer ganztags eingespannt werden), und sie müssen weniger Steuern zahlen (da sie glücklicherweise von vornherein weniger Geld verdienen).

Außerdem gibt es Ladys' Nights in diversen Nachtclubs und vergünstigte Handygebühren speziell für die Gespräche des schwachen Geschlechts - wenn es sich da nicht auszahlt, eine Frau zu sein, dann weiß ich auch nicht.

Aber Frauen können sich einfach mit nichts zufrieden geben.

Es ist doch ein leidiges Thema, oder?

Es ist einmal kein freudiger Anlass, dass ich mein Livejournal benutze. Vorige Woche verstarb ein sehr netter (ehemaliger) Lehrer meiner Schwester mitten im Unterricht an einem Herzinfarkt. Ich weiß, Lehrer sind selten sehr beliebt, aber ich mochte sie meistens. Eine meiner Hauptschullehrerinnen verstarb während ich sie noch in Deutsch hatte. Eines Tages, zufälligerweise mit dem Datum der ersten Schularbeit konform beginnend, kam sie einfach nicht mehr. Wochen später erfuhren wir, dass sie an Krebs erkrankt war, aber dass es ihr jetzt schon besser ging. Ich erinnere mich, dass sie die Schule und unsere Klasse einmal besuchen kam, als es ihr Gesundheitszustand zuließ. Das Kopftuch, das sie wegen ihrer Chemotherapie trug, war schrecklich. Eine Woche später hieß es, sie hätte einen Rückfall gehabt und sei verstorben.
Es ist schon eine ungerechte Sache, dass wir Menschen als einzige wissen, dass wir sterben werden. Ich persönlich könnte gut ohne dieses Wissen auskommen.

Okay, so what if my mind's centering on one topic at the moment? After I heard that in Washington, there's only one legal sex position, missionary, I had to investigate strange laws in more depth. Here's what I came up with:

Against the Laws, Montana: A law bans all sexual activity between nude members of the opposite sex in the front garden of a home after sundown. Darn.
Strange US Sex Laws, In Bakersfield, California, anyone having intercourse with Satan must use a condom. I second that!
More Strange Laws, Women aren't allowed to wear patent-leather shoes in Cleveland, Ohio- a man might see the reflection of something "he oughtn't!" Aha.
Sex Related Laws and Cases. Washington state has a law against having sex with a virgin... even on her/his wedding night. Eh?
